We stayed in grand hotel at the last day of our trip. We have had the most amazing stay compared to all other hotels across europe (we did stay at ibis in amsterdam, aran park in italy and other hotel). None of the hotels we stayed across europe is as good as grand hotel. Definitely will come back if we visit paris and we will refer this hotel whenever we can. Nice room, nice serice and nice people. Quality hotel conveniently located for seeing all the sights. Plenty of places to eat and relax nearby with easy transportation links. The hotel staff were very helpful and efficient.

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Francais for our 1st trip to Paris. The staff was extremely helpful when it came to navigating Paris, making reservations, or just answering our questions. One night we even got lost and called the hotel and they helped us find the right metro station back! We also really enjoyed the cappiccino at breakfast each morning. It was the best coffee of our entire trip. The breakfast was also very enjoyable. The only negatives were the slow/old elevator and the small size of the bathroom. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Francais and would recommend it.

We had a very good time at the "Grand Hotel Francais"- great room with enough space, don't know if it matters to anyone as much as it matters to me but strong flow of water (every shower was a celebration!:-)., the location is great, less than 1 minute walk from a metro, and a very nice, welcoming staff, who always make you feel at home, very helpful with reservations and guidence- and even just to step out of the hotel every morning with a Smile. Highly recommended!!

Das Zimmer war sehr modern eingerichtet und hatte ein wunderbares Bad. Es war ruhig, sehr sauber und gemuetlich warm. Es gab auch einen deutschen Fernsehsender, aber in Paris hat man sowieso keine Zeit zum Fernsehen.Das Fruehstueck war perfekt. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer Metro station und es gibt viele sehr schoene Restaurants und Cafes in unmittelbarer Naehe. Das Personal spricht mehrer Sprachen und ist extrem hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist ein idealer Platz fuer einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in Paris in dieser Preisklasse. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Really enjoyable stay at this hotel, very friendly, accomodating and helpful staff - we were advised in advance that the rooms were small so this wasn't a surprise. Little touches such as free wifi and complimentary bottles of wine on arrival were very thoughtful. The area around the hotel is quiet and mainly residential, it doesn't have a great night-life but the hotel is only a minutes walk from the nearest Metro and therefore I would consider the location convenient also.

Excellent hotel! We travelled as a young couple and found the GHF to be the ideal base to explore the city. Very close to 2 metro stations and within a walking distance of a good choice of bars and restaurants, ones that seemed to be popular with local people rather than just tourists. The room was not massive but easily big enough to be comfortable. Bathroom was cleaned daily. The manager is very welcoming, supplied us with a list of nearby restaurants and was always able to give us advice regarding trains etc. We hope to visit again some day.

I really had good times to stay few night s at Grand Hotel. The hotel is very very clean. The bed is very comfortable.... We were greeted with juice and coffee when arriving to the hotel front desk. The staff there are very helpful and accommodating. We were assigned a back room (not facing the street) and it was very quiet.... we were very delighted with that room. Also as a surprise we were treated with a couple of wines bottle as we celebrating our anniversary!!!! I will come back here again when visiting Paris and I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends.

2月に５泊しました。なんとバスタブ付きの部屋にグレードアップして下さり、とても清潔なお部屋でした。 地下で頂く朝食はパン、ハム、チーズ、ヨーグルト、フルーツと何種類かのコーヒーメーカーとジュースと、毎日たくさん頂きました。 目の前には小さなスーパーがあり、歩いて5分位のNation駅の周りにはたくさんのレストランや大きなスーパーもありました。 とても快適な滞在でした。

We loved this hotel. The location was perfect for visiting Paris and the rooms and reception area were beautifully decorated and well appointed. Above all though, the manager and his staff were brilliant. From advice on restaurants, to organising taxis and even giving us a brief history of the oppressive tax regime in France, they were all absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was a great deal too. If you are staying in Paris then you won't do better than the Grand Hotel Français.

Very helpful staff from the moment we checked in. Cosy room,kettle and tea and coffees appreciated as we were visiting in February. Plentiful breakfast,boiled eggs the hot option. Very near metro line 9 and close to line 1 which takes you to the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe etc.

This is a very nice hotel, at the upper end of 3-star hotels. Personels are very friendly and helpful, and very professional. The room is clean and comfortalbe. It is convenient to take metro to most of the main sightseeing places in Paris. Room rate is very good comparing with other hotels at the same level of service and comformity. I will definately put up here again next time I visit Paris.

The hotel staff were absolutely great - fanastique - during our long weekend stay at this lovely little hotel. Having informed Zyed at the front desk that it was our birthdays, he was incredibly accommodating and hospitable and offered a complimentary upgrade! I asked for a breakfast in the room and the breakfast room waitress brought it up just as I had requested making a fab birthday surprise. The breakfast buffet was nice and French; cheeses, patisseries, eggs, fruit salad, yoghurts and some charcuterie - great hot chocolates too! A nice quiet area, but close to rue des boulets metro meant getting around wasnt too difficult. Despite the snow and the cold we walked into the city centre a couple of times which was a nice walk, through Bastille and towards hotel de ville. Eddy from the front desk was a star when I went down on the first morning and wanted some tips about places to go - he leant me his laptop so i could search through all the shows that were on in Paris over the weekend which was very handy. Only recommendation is to add some non- French TV channels for English speakers etc but this wasn't really a draw back as you're not watching a lot of TV in Paris. Overall a wonderful trip made very special thanks to the hotel - would definitely recommend and would stay again.

ENJOYED OUR STAY THOROUGHLY AT THIS SMALL BUT EXCELLENT HOTEL.IT IS SITUATED ONLY A FEW MINUTES WALK FOM THE NATION METRO.THE ROOMS ARE SMALL BUT FINE FOR A WEEKEND STAY.THE BATHROOM WAS GREAT WITH A REALLY GOOD SHOWER AND PLENTY TOILLETRIES AND COMPLIMENTARY SLIPPERS.THE BREAKFAST WAS AMPLE WITH CEREALS,COLD MEATS AND CHEESES. THE SMALL BAR IN THE RECEPTION WAS COMFORTABLE AND WELL STOCKED.HOWEVER THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS THE WONDERFUL STAFF WHO GAVE US PLENTY TIPS ON SIGHTSEEING AND PLACES TO EAT,NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH BOTHER.oUR FLIGHT HOME WAS CANCELLED AND THE GUY ON RECEPTION HELPED US IMMENSELY BY GETTING US HOME BY EUROSTAR.OVERALL THIS HOTEL PUTS FAR BIGGER HOTELS TO SHAME AND WE WILL CERTAINLY REURN TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN WHEN WE RETURN TO PARIS

Myself and my wife stayed at the Grand Hotel Francais for four nights over new year. The hotel was excellent value for money and we couldn't have asked for a better room. When I booked I requested a room with a bathroom and balcony and both were provided which was excellent. The staff could not have been more help full and were always happy to give advise on which tube or bus to get. Overall we could not have asked for anything more and were extremely happy with our stay at the hotel and we would defiantly recommend it to friends.

I am very happy that I have chosen Grand Hotel Francais as a my place of staying in Paris. Reception staff was very pleasant, polite and helpful, room was clean and very cosy, good thing was minibar in the room (water, tea, coffee), slippers. Bathroom was small but very clean and tidy, canteen a little bit small but nice. Location also is good, 5 minutes walk to metro. In general I can not say any bad word about this hotel and it was a good stay there for me and my wife. Paris is a beatiful citi, it is worth to go there but 3 days is to short to visit all main attractions. I would go back to this hotel next time. If someone is considering this hotel for holiday stay in Paris just go there, you will not be disappointed

We were very pleased that we chose to stay at Grand Hotel Francais. The location was perfect and we were able to master the Metro quickly while knowing we were removed enough from the tourist districts to benefit from a good value and a restorative night. The accomodations were comfortable and well furnished. The staff was very helpful and we found everyone to be friendly. We were glad we chose to add breakfast to our package, as well.

Nous sommes franciliens depuis toujours (32 et 35 ans) et n'avions jamais visité Paris en "touristes", en prenant le temps. Nous n'avons aucune critique négative à émettre. L'accueil est poli, souriant et professionnel. Les locaux sont propres, les chambres (privilège puis suite) sont très confortables (literie, espace, sdb) et très bien entretenues. Le petit déjeuner est bon. Réellement, un superbe hôtel très proche de Nation (environ 5 minutes à pied). Je conseille vivement de tester les options romantiques. Merci et foncez-y !

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Francais in Nov 2013, and for people who wont read any further than this, the summary is: IT WAS FANTASTIC. I was visiting Paris with my Girlfriend for a romantic break and stayed in a 'Privilege' room. The Hotel is located perfectly as although you can get anywhere in Paris with ease on the local Metro or RER (Including Disney Land - direct train from Nation), you are far enough away from the tourist areas to see some of the 'real' side of Paris. The area where the Hotel is located is littered with local bars and restaurants, and during our nightly strolls found some fantastic eateries and even some live music. The Hotel reception gave us a list of local restaurants to try all of which were fantastic. I would especially recommend: Au Petit Panisse: http://www.aupetitpanisse.fr/ and Chez Prosper: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g187147-d775212-Reviews-Chez_Prosper-Paris_Ile_de_France.html The Hotel staff are all pleasant, approachable and knowledgeable and the hotel offers unrivalled service. For example when we arrived we had complimentary chocolates and wine waiting for us in our room, and the reception offers a 24hr turn around laundry service - Free of charge! The rooms are serviced and equipped to a level I would expect from at least a 4 Star establishment - IPod dock, Safe ect. The rooms are snug, however this is a city hotel, and all the dimensions are published before you book. Having stayed in 5 Star hotels with smaller and worse maintained rooms than this hotel I was more than happy with my room, and with the amount we paid. In my opinion, you will not find a Parisian hotel in this class (3 Star Boutique) that offers you the value, services and experience this one does. All that is left to say is: Thank you to the management for a fantastic stay.
